Setting Up Sheabutter and Honey Enterprises in Northern Region

A few weeks ago Trax, together with various other partners, launched the Village Tree Enterprise. Under this project, 450 Village Tree Enterprises will be set up in Mali, Burkina Faso and Ghana. These will benefit 6,750 disadvantaged rural households. Trax Ghana has identified five farmer groups in the Northern Region who are already producing sheabutter and honey.

In the near future, these groups will be assisted in developing business plans. This process will not only serve as the basis of further financial support, but will also provide a platform for transferring and putting in practice business skills.
